Pricing

We pride ourselves on trying to give our customers the best deal possible. We manage this by bundling resources and spreading the costs. Our aim is to provide a service for non-profit, specifically voluntary, organizations and keep all charges to a bare minimum. Obviously we cannot give something for nothing - we have to buy in services too - but we are not trying to make a profit.

Although we primarily target non-profit, we do welcome profit-sector customers; their contribution adds to the overall cost-reduction. Profit sector customers pay a surcharge on hosting services of 25% and 40% on all other services.

Incentive

We value your custom, but we also value the custom of your contacts and colleagues. However, we are unlike most organizations that will give you a small - often one-off - bonus for introducing customers.

Yes, you get a bonus - 15% off all subsequent hosting bills (excluding domain name registration) for your primary hosting package; and your introducees get a bonus too - 5% of all their subsequent hosting bills (again, excluding domain name registration) for their primary hosting package. Where it differs, is that Kobolt is not looking to increase customers to increase profit, but to share the costs among more people. This means that with an increase in customer numbers, next year ALL customers will be eligible for a reduction in the hosting fee. Including you and your introducees, on top of your already earned 15%.

To qualify for this incentive, you must introduce three new customers and they must remain customers for you to retain your 15% bonus.
